Terms of Service

1. The service
MI Website Pros provides a monthly website service that can include website design and build, hosting, SSL, domain management, basic on‑page SEO, and ongoing maintenance. The specific services on your account are listed in your customer portal.
2. Monthly fee and minimum
The minimum service fee is $50 per month, regardless of whether the domain is one we register or an existing domain you bring to us. Higher tiers and add‑ons (for example priority support, light SEO assistance, or ad assistance) are billed at their published rate.
There is no start fee and no deposit. Your first monthly payment activates your subscription, and the same amount recurs every month after that. There is no start fee and no trial period. On the $50/month plan the first payment is $50; on the $100/month plan the first payment is $100. The service runs month to month and payments already made are non-refundable.
3. Revisions
Revisions during design are included, capped at 5 hours of programming beyond the initial build. The more precise and organized you present your revision requests, the better we can stay within the 5‑hour included revision programming.
Revision work beyond 5 hours is billed at $175 per hour with a 0.7‑hour minimum per request.
Project Acceptance
You can choose a Website Care Plan and subscribe at any time — no application or prior approval is required.
MI Website Pros reserves the right to decline a website project we are unable or unwilling to undertake. If we're unable to accept your website project for any reason, we'll promptly notify you and refund any payment collected, and the subscription will be cancelled.
Data-Driven Website Features
Data-Driven Website Features provide customer-accessible tools for managing designated website content, including newsletters, documents, contractor or vendor listings, resident or community information, and similar structured content.
These features are intended for normal website usage and are subject to reasonable usage limits. Limits may apply to records, transactions, uploads, documents, newsletters, storage, bandwidth, or other data usage.
Specific limits may vary depending on the type and complexity of the feature. High-volume usage, bulk uploads, unusually large data sets, excessive storage or bandwidth usage, automated activity, or usage substantially beyond the intended scope of the plan may require additional fees or a custom service plan.
MI Website Pros may establish reasonable feature-specific usage limits and communicate those limits to the customer when appropriate.
Preferred Data Plan Rate. Customers with an active Website Care Plan – Essential + Data or Website Care Plan – Premier + Data receive a preferred rate of $150 per hour for additional custom data work. Additional custom data work is not included in the monthly subscription, is not unlimited, and is quoted and approved in advance before any work begins. Customers who are not on an active data plan continue to be billed at the standard hourly rate.
Reasonable Use for Data Plans
The Website Care Plan – Essential + Data and Website Care Plan – Premier + Data are designed for a small managed website database and reasonable routine data updates. Reasonable routine updates are ordinary additions, changes, or removals of records and images within the website’s existing database structure.
The monthly plan does not include major development, database restructuring, bulk uploads or large batches of changes, new custom features, custom reporting, integrations, automation, data conversion, or unusually time-intensive work.
MI Website Pros determines whether a request is routine maintenance or additional custom work based on its scope and complexity. We will explain the scope and receive your approval before performing any billable additional work.
Additional custom data work for active data-plan customers is billed at the preferred rate of $150 per hour. No additional hourly work is billed without your prior approval.
4. Ownership
To keep the monthly cost low, MI Website Pros owns the website we build and, unless you bring your own domain, the domain name used with the service. You may bring your own domain and keep ownership of it; the $50/month minimum still applies because it covers design, hosting, and maintenance of the site itself.
Your business content — your name, logo, photos, and text you provide — remains yours. We use general industry patterns, layouts, and code techniques across projects; we will not reuse the exact business name of a former client for another business.
5. Non‑payment and reconnection
The monthly service works like a utility. If a payment is missed, the site can be taken offline (“goes dark”) until the account is brought current. Restoring service requires:
- Payment of any past‑due balance.
- A flat $100 reconnect fee.
- Resumption of the regular monthly billing.
Sites are typically restored within one business day of payment, often within a few hours. DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate.
6. Buyout requests
There is no long‑term contract. You may request to purchase your website and, where applicable, the domain at any time. Buyout is by request and subject to our approval and to pricing at the time of the request; pricing may change in the future. We may accept or decline any request.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel the monthly service at any time. On cancellation, we stop billing and take the site offline. If you would like to purchase the site or domain before cancelling, use the buyout request process above.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service for anything unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful to others. We may suspend the service if we reasonably believe it is being misused.
9. Content you provide
You are responsible for the content you send us to publish (text, images, logos, product information). You confirm that you have the right to use that content and grant us permission to publish it on your site.
10. Service availability
We work hard to keep sites online and fast, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Occasional maintenance, provider outages, or DNS issues may cause brief downtime.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MI Website Pros and Custom Access Programmers LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for meaningful changes, let active customers know.
